High temperature crab cultivation management measures

Summer is approaching. At this time, the weather is hot and the water temperature is high. The crab culture must be strengthened and managed carefully to ensure that the river crabs can safely cross the river and increase the survival rate. In this regard, the following measures must be taken:

First, there must be sufficient supply of aquatic plants

In the summer crab pool, some aquatic plants such as peanuts and duckweed should be stocked, or some emergent plants such as reeds and pods should be planted in advance. Where conditions permit, bricks, tiles and other stacked artificial crab nests can be used to provide a cool habitat for crabs. In addition, there must be a large supply of young plants such as Hydrilla verticillata and Arthrobacter spp. in the crab pond so that the crab can ingest food and avoid predators. The plants used for shading should not cover the entire surface of the pool, leaving about 1/3 of the space. The rotting plants should be removed immediately to avoid damaging the water and breeding germs.

Second, ensure the water quality clean nutrition

Aquaculture ponds should constantly inspect water quality, change new water frequently, remove remaining food and dirt timely, and keep pool water clean. At the same time, the depth of the water must be maintained at more than 1 meter to prevent hot water from burning and affecting the growth. Summer water change should not be selected at noon, generally should be selected in the evening, each change of water should be left at least 1/3 of the original pool of water as bottom water, can not completely replace the pool water. When the temperature is high, the water exchange interval should be appropriately shortened. Generally, it is more appropriate to change the water from 3 days to 5 days. Water sources must be clean and sanitary, non-polluting and non-toxic. Crab raising also requires a certain amount of inorganic salts, such as calcium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, etc. can be directly absorbed by the crab, can promote the growth of crab and clam shell. Therefore, after changing the water, the inorganic salts in the water can be supplemented according to the conditions. During the shelling of crabs, in particular, increase the content of calcium ions. Generally, 5 kg of quicklime water per acre can be added to the whole pool. The input of other inorganic salts can be used in a small amount and often put into the water body.

Third, pay attention to the feeding of bait

Crabs are omnivorous animals that prefer animal feeds such as clams, snails, and small shrimps. Crabs occupy a large proportion of plant foods in natural waters. During the high temperature stage, the proportion of plant foods should be appropriately increased to reduce the feeding of animal feeds. Wheat, squash, and sesame cakes are all botanical foods that crabs love to eat. When feeding, these feeds should be made into lumps and put on the table to feed the crabs. In this way, it is beneficial to observation without damaging water quality. The amount of feeding should be increased or decreased according to the water temperature of the day and the feeding condition of the crabs after the last day of feeding. It is generally about 10% of the total weight of the crabs, and it is appropriate to have a little surplus for two hours after feeding. Feeding time should be selected every day from 4 to 5 pm to adapt to the crab habits of nightfall.

Fourth, do a good job of preventing escape, preventing and preventing diseases

During the high temperature period, the crab pool must adhere to the daily patrol pond and pass through the patrol pond to learn about the feeding and activities of the crabs, check the anti-escape facilities, and find out whether there are any diseases or predators. Once there are signs that the crabs have escaped, they should promptly plug dike loopholes and replace the damaged escape prevention facilities and nets at the inlet and outlet. Heavy storm weather, but also pay attention to escape. To prevent the invasion of predators, it is necessary to promptly catch frogs, water mice, and other predator organisms in the crab pool, and eliminate the invasion of pool crabs. Artificially cultivated crabs have more diseases than natural ones. We must do a good job of preventing diseases and we can occasionally use bleaching powders and other drugs. The occurrence of diseased crabs and dead crabs should immediately clarify the causes, pay close attention to treatment, eliminate pathogenic lethal factors, and ensure rapid growth of crabs.
