Scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences started with traditional Chinese herbal medicines. By screening traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions for traditional Chinese medicine against stroke, combined with multiple database information at home and abroad, using molecular docking methods, nearly 8,000 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines were studied and obtained from 30,438 small molecule compounds. 2355 candidate anti-stroke compounds.
"We found that these anti-stroke candidate compounds act on 15 anti-stroke targets, which are expressed in the early, occurring, and late stages of stroke, demonstrating that Chinese medicine has effects in different stages of treatment of stroke. In the nearly 200 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine plants treated and recovered by stroke, scientists also found several Chinese herbal medicines with the highest frequency and best effect, including Chuanxiong, Angelica, safflower, red peony, astragalus, salvia, peach kernel, rhubarb, calamus, etc. .
