According to ABI's forecast, in 2017, 60% of these sold devices were used for fitness monitoring, 23% for elderly health monitoring devices, 7% for remote patient monitoring, and the remaining 7% for medical care monitoring.
Collins said the trend for wireless wearable sensors this year is that it can be connected via Bluetooth. Earlier this year, Juniper Research predicted that the market value of the wearable sensor market will reach $150 million in 2014, and IMS forecasts that the market value in 2016 will reach 600 million. Collins said that many creative ideas are involved in this market. He predicted that with the development of the market, there will be more sensors with mixed social media, and more companies will invest to track the health of employees, and the professional medical market will further grow.
