Tea Garden Wet Harm Prevention Measures

Since the spring of this year, there has been a rare continuous rainy weather in the city, and the rainfall has increased by more than 40% compared with normal years. Long-term rainy weather will have a certain impact on the growth of tea plants. If the soil of the tea garden is thick, poorly permeable, or there is an impervious layer or an impenetrable layer of water, such as tea plants that were originally changed from paddy fields, there is no tea plantation that completely removes the water layer of the paddy field before planting. The current long-term rain and rain, poor drainage, will produce tea plant damage. Tea plant damage starts from damage to the roots of the tea tree. Damage to the roots causes damage to the shoots from tender to old and from leaves to stems. The first leaves are yellow and dark, and then the shoots shrink and fall off. The damaged tea leaves lose green and yellow. Thin, sparsely sparse, with sparsely branched branches, short stature, slow growth, or even stop growing. The symptoms of wet tea trees developed quickly and appeared slowly. When serious wet symptoms were found in tea plantations, the tea tree damage was almost irreversible. Therefore, prevention in advance, early detection, and timely elimination are extremely important.

The protection and elimination of wet damage is mainly to exclude waterlogging and improve soil. The specific measures are: 1 to rationalize the water system, supporting ditches, eliminate surface water, and reduce groundwater. Ditch drainage, combination of open and ditches, where the main ditches are excavated to 1m; select a small amount of low-lying tea plantation, fill and raise the level of the tea garden ground; cut off the source of infiltration water, excavate 1 to 1.2 meters deep above the infiltration ditch. 2Add organic fertilizer, a variety of green manure, improve fertility, improve soil permeability. (3) To transplant and consolidate gardens with severe wet conditions and lack of plants, and to take measures such as digging drainage ditch and reservoirs, and flooding ponds, and fill the dug soil into other tea gardens so as to completely relieve wet damage. After threatening to re-level the land, implement a high standard of tea; for land that is seriously damaged, difficult to transform, and uneconomical for input and output, tea should be discarded and used for other suitable purposes.
