Breeder feeding technology

The young pigeons gradually began to be paired at the age of 5 months and were sexually mature at the age of 6 months. Most of the main wing feathers of the meat pigeons were changed to the last one. At this time, they were basically transferred to the breeding period.

Pre-laying preparation The breeder will begin laying eggs 8 to 10 days after pairing. If possible, they should be kept in cages (or transferred to the nests with nests). Egg nests are prepared and covered with a layer of linen. Slice to avoid breaking the egg. Check whether there are loopholes in the cage to prevent cats, dogs, snakes and rats from being disturbed or exposed to wind and rain, causing unnecessary losses.

Before the hatching, we must timely detect the misshapen eggs and broken eggs, and always observe whether the first production pigeon nests are fixed. Second, we must observe whether the new spouse is awkward and whether they often jump around and beat each other, causing them to break their eggs. For large meat pigeons, special care must be taken to prevent crushing of eggs and to prevent meat pigeons from feeding eggs due to incomplete nutrition or bad food. Third, it is necessary to conduct regular lighting of the eggs, timely treatment of bad guys, on the absence of refined eggs, dead eggs and dead embryo eggs should be promptly removed in order to prevent the eggs from deodorizing, affecting the normal development of the eggs and the health of the producing pigeons. It was found that the reasons for not being lean and dead embryos should be identified and the management system should be improved.

The double hatching management should produce a pair of hatching eggs for the production of 1 egg or 2 left eggs, which should improve the productivity. Egg nests should be kept warm and clean, and double egg nests should be prepared. After the young pigeons are born, care should be taken to keep them warm. Change the linen (hay) frequently, and often wash the feces in the nest to keep it clean. When the young pigeons are 12 days old, they should be placed in a nest again. At this time, the breeding pigeons will begin to produce a second nest of eggs, which will be produced in about 15 days. The breeding pigeons will have the dual task of breastfeeding and hatching. Elaborate feeding and management, increase feed nutrition, increase the number of feeds, to ensure the completion of the double task of breeding pigeons. And at any time do a good job producing pigeon production records, to provide an important digital basis for future feeding and management.
