(3) Infertility of genital diseases, such rabbits should be eliminated in time.
Nutritional infertility is mainly due to unscientific feeding and management, single forage and feed, and lack of essential trace elements and minerals in the diet. In particular, protein deficiency or female rabbits are over-fat and over-slim, resulting in female infertility. Therefore, in the course of treatment and prevention, attention should be paid to diversification of forages and feeds, as well as the addition of appropriate amounts of minerals and trace elements. It is advisable to feed the full-price compound feed, or increase the nutrient input 15 days before breeding the rabbit, for example, by feeding some cooked soy bean or bean dregs and other concentrates. For females whose body condition is too fat or too thin, make adjustments according to their body condition.
Other types of infertility (1) breeding method is wrong. The estrous female rabbits should be placed in male rabbit cages to allow them to be mated (early, early, small, late, and not much in the middle). Generally, repeat breeding is used, ie, the interval is 6 to 8 hours. Male rabbits mate with them twice. (2) No artificial assistance measures were taken. Due to the large size and long hair of long-haired rabbits, necessary artificial assistance measures must be taken to ensure successful breeding. It is advisable to use a string to hold the female's tail when mating so as not to interfere with mating. After successful mating, the male rabbit will fall to the side along with the buzzing sound. At this point, the female rabbit's hindquarters can be raised and their hips can be beaten to prevent semen backflow. (3) The rabbit hair is too long when it is bred. If the rabbit's hair is too long, it looks like the breeding is successful, but the semen is easily prone to the phenomenon that it does not reach the designated position, that is, backflow, and infertility can easily occur. Slimmering after mating can cause miscarriage, and shearing should be done 15 days before mating.
In addition, in order for the female rabbit to have a high rate of conception, a high number of litters, and excellent offspring, selection of the best seed and the best breeding time is important. Accurate fetal examination techniques are very important.
