When will the poultry be slaughtered?

First, broilers. The hens reached the peak at the age of 7 weeks and the weight gain of the roosters at the age of 9 weeks. The broilers were ideal when they were 8-9 weeks old and weighing 1.8-2.2 kg. During this period, broilers have high growth rates, high feed returns, and good meat quality, and can obtain higher economic benefits.

Second, the meat duck. Meat ducks can weigh up to 2.5 kg at 6 weeks of age, up to 3 kg at 7 weeks of age and 3.2 kg at 8 weeks of age. If it is sold as split meat, it is better to wait until the 8-week-old breast meat reaches fullness; if it is sold as whole duck, it will be better to market it at 7-week-old age.

Third, meat and geese. The growth and development of geese is generally divided into three stages. The body weight at the age of 20 days is 10 times that of the primary body weight, but the resistance to environmental changes is poor. This time is mainly to strengthen the feeding and management, improve the survival rate, and improve the quality of goslings. 20 to 40 days old are middle-aged, and some also called young goose or young goose. Although the body weight is large, the pectoralis muscle is not thick, the slaughter rate is low, and the edible part is small. 40 to 60 days of age are geese. People limit their physical development through means of rearing and promote the accumulation of large amounts of fat in the body to increase body weight. At this time, the goose quail meat is tender, delicious, slaughter rate is high, the edible part is more important. After 70 days of age, the geese started their first moult, greatly reducing their sputum, losing weight and slaughtering. Practice has proved that no matter what breed of geese, 20-60 years of age are relatively fast growing and have high absolute weight gain, and then decline with the increase of the age of rearing, so the consumption of materials and costs will increase. Visible meat goose up to 60 days of age to sell the most economic benefits.
